I wouldn't say I've been lazy exactly. Busy is a word I prefer to use. And seriously, that's the way it's been. But now, NO MORE EXCUSES!
I have a tutorial on the way (I promise). I'm just getting the pictures in order. I also have a great recipe for busy moms that will also give options for those of you who like to watch the whole calorie thing. It's one of those great recipes you can fix the night before, pop it in the fridge, and then pull it out when you get home from work the next evening. In less than an hour you'll be eating a yummy dinner. Even the kids love this one!
I love to take recipes, try them, and then sort of 'tweak' them to get just what I like. And although I love to cook and bake, I also love those quick meals that don't take forever to fix; especially in the summer when it's so much more fun to be outside.
So, in one week's time, I will have the following for you:
A beautiful tutorial of the cutest floral napkin rings you've ever seen. They will spruce up a fun spring luncheon for you and your girlfriends or even you and the hubby. They're super easy; you can whip up a bunch in no time at all. And the best part about them? NO SEWING for those of you who don't or just prefer not to.
And for the recipe section:
Main course: Chicken Pie (Yummy)
Dessert: Milk Chocolate Brownies (Great with or without frosting)
If you want to catch a super new blog with some great ideas for moms with young kiddies, check out my daughters blog at: www.jenni-simplysavvy.blogspot.com
I promise you won't regret it. She is one of the best, most patient mom's I've ever known and has the greatest ideas for taking care of the family.
Right now she has a great idea for a gift for the kids' teachers.

Ok, nobody ever said blogging was easy, right? Well, nobody my age. My daughter actually helped me set this blog up. Rewind. She actually did it ALL so far. But I WILL learn.
My goal is to connect with others who enjoy the same kinds of things I do. And hopefully, along the way, I'll be able to show you a few of the things I've learned through the years.
I hope to bring you a new tutorial at least once a month.
If you're like me, your life is crazy! Why? I'm not really sure; it just is. It's not supposed to be. I used to think that when I got to be my age I'd be able to sit back and watch the sun come up every morning, watch it set each evening, and do nothing in particular in between. Boy, how wrong I was.
It seems the older I get, the busier I am. And all in all, that's not a bad thing. It sure is better than having nothing at all to do (unless I was sitting on a lovely secluded beach somewhere, drinking a pastel drink with a little umbrella in it). I could handle that quite well for about a week. Then I'd be missing my cozy little country home and missing my grandbabies (and even my kids).
Let me know what you love more than anything else. Is it blogging? Or did your daughter do if for you, too?
Do you love new recipes? I know I do. When someone shares one with me I feel like I've won a great prize. Let me know if you would like me to share some of my favorites. Also, let me know a little about yourself, your hobbies, and your family.
My first Tutorial will be coming soon. Also, a fun GIVEAWAY
